Project scope
The FOSS company is the leading supplier of innovative analytical solutions to secure and improve food quality, sustainable use of our planet's agricultural resources and thus to the nutrition and health of the people of the world.
Our Etrusco Grigio stone was selected as the material for the exterior cladding for the new extension to the FOSS Headquarters complex in Denmark. Our material was chosen because it perfectly blended with the architect's concept of timeless harmony with the natural environment. We produced a detailed mock up with the control samples for final approval, to show the finish, colour and expected variation in the material for final approval by the architect and client.
We conducted a visit for all of the major stakeholders (the architect, the client, the main contractor and key sub-contractors) in order to ensure that we were aligned on the project needs and timetable. During the visit we presented a detailed plan for how we as a supplier would execute the complex order, consisting of multiple cut to size cladding pieces, and we established a set course of action as to how we would manage any potential blocking issues that might arise during the course of production.
The material was produced for the multi-stage project over a period of 4 weeks and then delivered in staggered phases for each north, east, south and west façade of the structure. We managed to supply the project without any delays or defects and produced a happy outcome for our client.
